SSP awarded 11 titles at prestigious Moodie Davitt travel retail F&B awards 2019

SSP is celebrating a successful night at The Moodie Davitt Report Airport Food and Beverage (FAB) Awards 2019, with SSP Sweden scooping the top award for Environmental Initiative of the Year plus a number of highly commended and regional wins across the group. The event, held at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on 26-27th June, recognised and rewarded the outstanding work and passion of the airport food and beverage industry over the last 12 months.

Alongside the excellent win for SSP Sweden, SSP America was named regional winner and was highly commended for its work at JFK International Airport Terminal 4 in the Environmental Initiative of the Year category. The Airport Bar of the Year Asia Pacific regional award was handed to The Cabin at Mactan Cebu International Airport. SSP scored two regional wins for New Food & Beverage Concept of the Year with Alas by Hermanos Torres at Barcelona Airport and Line Café at Hong Kong International Airport.

The outstanding achievement of two of SSP’s employees were also recognised at the awards. Both Renata DeGeorge from SSP America and Luca Sangiuliano from SSP Frabel were highly commended candidates for Airport Chef of the Year. Tatjana Djukanovic at Montréal Elliot Trudeau International Airport was highly commended as F&B Team Member of the Year.

Nick Inkster, CEO of SSP Nordics & Spain and group director strategic client partnerships, who will be retiring shortly, was recognised for his contributions towards the industry with the award of Outstanding Career Contribution to Airport Food and Beverage.
