LINDT to debut “truly iconic travel souvenir” Chocolate Trolleys at TFWA Cannes

LINDT & Sprüngli is set to launch a range of exquisite LINDT Chocolate Trolleys - “a new and truly iconic travel souvenir” - exclusively to travel retail at the Tax Free World Association World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes in October.

Designed to target the all-important souvenir gifting market, the new LINDT Chocolate Trolleys make a novel present for travellers who want to “bring home a unique and travel exclusive souvenir”. Styled in hot-pink or shimmering gold, each case contains 600 grammes of individually-wrapped assorted Napolitains in six popular flavours which are Milk, Milk Hazelnut, Surfin, LINDOR, Cresta Milk and Cresta White.

The launch of the LINDT Chocolate Trolleys will be supported by a striking, traveller-centric yet elegant POS presence. A focal point will be the iconic display, which has been designed as a life-sized suitcase. This mobile ‘rolling’ display is the ideal secondary placement for this attention-grabbing new range. Further POS material, a poster and a gift with purchases promotion complement the POS set up.

Research shows the majority of travel retail confectionery purchases are for gifting, and souvenir gifting is on the increase, according to Peter Zehnder, head of the Lindt & Sprüngli global duty free division. “While many offers follow the same theme of destination-based packaging, this new range stands out as a new take on the souvenir concept. Our Napolitains are a highly regarded travel product, that have been loved for years by consumers around the globe. This makes them the ideal brand to take centre stage in this initiative. Travel retail exclusives are always well received, and we are sure our new suitcases will become a must-have travel essential.”

The new range will be available from spring 2017 for a limited time and can be seen on the LINDT stand Marine Village R7 and R5 at Cannes.
