Blog: Networking with next gen PR professionals

Since graduating from the PRCA PR apprenticeship diploma, I’ve been getting to grips with the new programme to help me best mentor our current apprentice, Stella.

The PR apprenticeships networking event, held on Friday 12th April at the PRCA HQ, was a fantastic opportunity for apprentices’ past and present. Experiences were shared, LinkedIn details were swapped and stories were told. Rewarding opportunities like these remind apprentices that they are not alone on their journey and that there are other people out there who are facing the same struggles and victories as them. I loved being able to speak with apprentices that find it hard to get through the final push, and offering them some encouragement that there is a prosperous PR future after the programme.

Stella and I are very much looking forward to attending the next PR apprenticeship networking event and I wish all apprentices I met good luck with the rest of the programme and in your future careers – you’ll all do great!

I’d also like to take this opportunity to encourage any apprentices to not hesitate to reach out if they require some post-completion inspiration or even some advice on progressing from an apprentice to a line manager and mentor.
